Evolve boosts public sector businesses

Evolve boosts public sector businesses

Evolve—a business advisory company based in Poole—is helping local businesses thrive through its public sector initiatives. It currently offers the following programmes, all aimed at guiding a business through different stages of its journey and priming its leaders for sustained success.

Growth & Productivity Groups
This free programme—funded by the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP)—brings together business leaders who share common goals to enhance productivity and navigate challenges facing their business. Aimed at small or medium-sized businesses in Dorset that employ between 2 and 249 people, these groups are tailored for those in the sectors of engineering & manufacturing, maritime & marine, digital & creative, and the visitor economy.
The programme—which starts in October 2023 and runs until March 2024, with 15 hours of contact time—includes one-to-one coaching and group sessions that explore strategic growth, funding for growth, leadership for growth, internationalisation and so much more.

More information on the programme and registration details are available here.

Business Accelerator

Funded as part of the Boscombe Town Fund, the Evolve Business Accelerator is aimed at anyone looking to develop digital, creative and technology businesses, and offers a year’s support across six elements—one-to-one mentoring, development workshops, networking opportunities, industry partnerships, workspace and funding support.
The first cohort began on September 6th at the Digital Skills Hub in Boscombe, and brought 14 businesses together in one room to discuss their ideas, refine their business plans and encourage growth. The businesses involved are: Bournemouth One, Malone Creative, HR Diagnostics Ltd, U-Crew, Studio Glass/ Pier Journal, Collectea, Duro Insight, Photo Experience, Footbus, Bouran, Real Blast Limited, Jurassic Brothers, Breakthrough Sports and Zenscape Trading Limited.

The second cohort is due to start next year, and as with the Growth & Productivity Groups, the programme is free of charge. More information and sign-up is available here.

Business Innovation Programme
Also funded by the Dorset LEP, this free programme supports product and service innovation for ten Dorset-based businesses with a minimum of five employees and a turnover of at least £500k. Evolve is partnering with two product development companies—Element Creative and Interpin—to provide advice and support on topics including: refining business models, accessing finance, designing and engineering physical products, and building solutions which drive improvements in business performance and customer experience.
Registrations for the Business Innovation Programme will open at the end of September, for early registration please email [email protected].

Evolve founder Warren Munson said: “We’re excited about the partnerships we’ve formed with the public sector. Owning and running your own business is a wonderful experience, but it can also be a challenging one. Evolve is passionate about supporting and nurturing business owners on their journeys and bringing them together to share knowledge and ideas, and therefore grow as individuals and business owners. Having the backing of the public sector gives this mission greater reach and makes it much more impactful.”
