About the groups
With our ‘live’ activities on hold (for obvious reasons) right now, Silicon South is delivering an online programme, to continue providing support and advice. This kicks off with some Directors Discussions Groups.
Inspired by the Directors Dinners held in February and March, they provide a rare opportunity to discuss concerns, challenges and ambitions with other directors, working in similar sized companies and sectors.
The Discussion Groups will be held virtually over Zoom. They bring 6-8 directors together – from similar sectors, roles, business sizes, and levels of responsibility – for a 1-hour conversation, which follows an agenda set by you, the participants.
Each Group will be facilitated – by someone from the same sector with relevant experience and knowledge – who can guide the discussion and ensure equal participation. This ensures every participant has an opportunity not only to talk through their own challenges and ideas – but also share advice, insights and coping strategies to help the others out.
The sessions will be held as a one-off – but if they provide enough value, and it’s what enough of the Group wants, we’ll hold them again. Ordinarily, there would be a fee to join the Group; however, given the current crisis, we will waive the fees and Silicon South will underwrite the costs for as long as we can.
