Senior Account Manager – Job Description

What are the key responsibilities?
Driven to succeed in building a best-in-class Retailer Marketing Programme.
Building and maintaining strong Client relationships and trust. Being the point of
contact for the Client when it matters most, particularly the Retailer Marketing
Managers.
Act in a consultative way to the Centre network to educate on Best Practice
marketing principles.
Be seen as an expert in Retailer Marketing Programme delivery, by maintaining an
agile and flexible approach.
Be seen as the trusted ‘go to’ for both the Clients and Retailers, always a helping
hand and an excellent problem solver able to think on your feet with both innovative
and practical solutions.
Managing a team to make sure the work is running through the agency smoothly,
with briefs and work that is right first time.
Nurturing and developing the team ensuring they are happy, growing and performing
to the best of their ability by using our Room to Grow development plans.
Ensuring the Centre Marketing Account is efficient and profitable with monthly
forecasting, monthly billing and approval of estimates that reflect the work needed to
be carried out.
Be responsible for tracking hours worked versus hours retained and take appropriate
corrective action.
Presenting and selling strategy and creative work that will improve the output and
effectiveness for the client.
Seeing opportunities to grow and capitalize on new opportunities.
Overseeing the day to day budget management, monitoring all job costs, and
obtaining client approval before spend is committed.

Is there any specific experience, skills or qualifications needed?
Either experience client side as a Dealer Marketing Manager, in a Regional
Marketing role or at a communications agency with a deep understanding of agency
processes and systems as well as advertising and marketing best practice.
Strong understanding of digital projects and processes.
Automotive experience.
Excellent organizational, presentation, negotiation and team management skills
External Entry Qualification:
Degree (2.2+) or equivalent or commensurate relevant work experience
(minimum 36 months)
External Entry Level Attributes:
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Extremely flexible approach to roles and responsibilities is essential as well as
the ability to flex working hours to suit the needs of clients.
An excellent understanding of advertising and marketing industry and processes
Ability to build strong client relationships is essential.
Hands on operational approach to management and client relationships
A proven track record of running effective integrated projects

Experience of managing and developing a high performing account team
Highly commercial
Track record of new business wins, proactively sell in new business
Lead budget conversations
