Welcome to our community for user-centred design professionals and those curious about the field! Whether you’re a UX Designer, User Researcher, or Content Designer, all disciplines and career stages are welcome. If you’re simply exploring user-centred design roles and seeking guidance, you’ll find support here. Each meeting will feature speakers or workshops to enhance your learning and community experience.
This month’s event focuses on UX and inclusive design, featuring a talk about accessibility through a designer’s lens. After the talk, there will be a panel discussion with industry professionals who will share practical insights, real-world experiences, and answer your questions about accessible design.
19:15 – 19:45
Drawing on his creative background, Josh explores accessibility through a designer’s lens. He’ll move beyond aesthetics to cover the best practices and essential checks that ensure a design functions for everyone. From colour contrast and responsiveness to page hierarchy, Josh uses real-world examples to demonstrate how to spot potential barriers and, crucially, how non-designers can support the QA and testing process.
Josh Trim, Jacob Dilley, Toby Pestridge, Catherine Weston
20:10 – 20:40
Join us for an engaging panel discussion on accessibility and UX, where four experienced practitioners will share real-world insights on designing inclusive, user-centered experiences. Representing diverse sectors and backgrounds, our panelists will explore practical strategies, lessons learned, and answer your questions on accessible design. Whether you’re a designer, developer, product leader, or simply passionate about creating better digital experiences, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
